Get a USG Abdomen (sonography of the whole abdomen) at VRX Diagno Lounge, Goregaon West — non-invasive imaging that evaluates liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, spleen, and abdominal aorta. 6–8 hours fasting preferred. Same-day radiologist-reviewed report.
Ultrasound Abdomen (USG) uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time images of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, urinary bladder, and major abdominal vessels. It is non-invasive, radiation-free, and very useful for detecting fatty liver, gallstones, kidney stones, cysts, tumours, ascites, and abdominal pain workup. Fasting helps the gallbladder fill and improves visualisation of solid organs.
Most common abdominal USG finding — graded I–III by echogenicity
Stones, gallbladder wall thickening, sludge, polyps
Stones, dilatation of collecting system, cysts
Simple cysts, haemangiomas, focal lesions — may need CT/MRI
Enlarged spleen — chronic liver disease, infections, blood disorders
Fluid in the peritoneal cavity — many causes
Especially right upper quadrant (gallbladder) or flank (kidney)
Diabetics, obese, alcohol users, raised ALT
Kidney stones, hydronephrosis workup
Hepatitis, gallstones, biliary obstruction
First-line imaging in unexplained derangement
Often part of comprehensive wellness package
Palpable abdominal lump or fullness
Cysts, fatty liver, kidney stones — periodic monitoring
| Parameter | What It Measures | Reference Range |
